The School of Doing is an open campus that we started building since early this year. The design will be of 1960's kampung style coupled with sustainable technologies, living concepts and teaching. What we aim to allow city kids to experience what it takes to design and build a happy community, lead a sustainable way of living in their daily lives and how to reach for their dreams.

Our very first mission is to design and execute on a community integration program. A recce team led by one of our volunteer Johann Annuar from Chronicle People is to discover and understand the community capacity. It has a lot to do with good communication skills that made us possible to probe into details and also build better relationship with our neighbors. All details and findings are later to be mapped out onto Google Maps and Earth; and these could be special handicraft skills or heritage information.

Kampung Temasek Campus is about redesigning the way we live as a community in a more sustainable form. Therefore, it is foremost important for us to build and maintain relationship by taking our initiatives to learn about the existing skills, culture and history through engaging conversations.

In future, Kampung Temasek is going to have a Malay Heritage Museum to showcase and respect the inherited Malay Culture.

$ 2,000 – for us to organize 4 sessions of recce trips with volunteers groups to interact with the local community to develop the Google Maps and Earth information. The funds will allow us to purchase a few 5 bicycles for recce purpose in the town and also cover the cost of transports, meals and printing materials.

The second phase of this project involves the building of a Malay Heritage Museum.
